CAHPS® is a registered trademark of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
CAHPS is the survey tool used to capture member experience of Commercial, Medi-Cal and Medicare members and influences the consumer ratings posted for providers and health plans. Results Summarize member experience through rating, composites and question summary rates.
CAHPS categories that relate to the member’s experience with their provider are:
Four Gobal rating reflect overall Satisfaction:
- Rating of All Health Care
- Rating of Helth Plan
- Rating of Personal Doctor
- Rating of Specialist seen most often
Five Composite Scores Summarize repones in key areas:
- Claims Processing (Commerical Only)
- Customer Service
- Getting Care Quickly
- Getting Needed Cae
- How Well Doctors Communicate
